The Family Man Review: An intriguing series that glues you to the screen


So, after a lot of anticipation and wait, we have Manoj Bajpayee’s entry into the world of OTT with his Amazon Prime series, The Family Man. In the past few years, we have seen the rise in the number of online series, and these are doing fairly well. Recently Radhika Apte got nominated for the Emmys for her performance in one of the Netflix original series. Manoj Bajpayee is a renowned and acclaimed actor, and it’s a treat to seem him make his debut in the OTT.

The Family Man is a story of a common man, Srikant Tiwari, essayed by Manoj Bajpayee, who essays the role of a secret agent. Srikant works with the National Investigation Agency, TASC. He is a middle-class man who id dwindling between personal and professional life. He is bleak, funny and at the same time heroic. The writers have played well with the story; the entire script has been knitted so well, that it keeps you glued to the screen. The thrill, fun and drama will not make you switch it off.

The series is about Srikant’s life as a common man and a secret agent. He is out there to save the nation from another terrorist attack which is going to be bigger than 26/11.  From child artists to the supporting cast, everyone has played their role well. Priyamani, who plays the role of the wife of Srikant, will easily connect with any of the women out there. The family situation, struggle of a common man and how does Srikant balance everything makes The Family Man a treat to watch. It’s a great effort by the entire team. So, if you are looking for some great on-screen drama and thrill, then The Family Man gives you a perfect dose for binge-watching.
