Movie Review: So, we have yet another unconventional movie hitting the screen today, Khandaani Shafakhana. The story is about a girl who inherits a sex clinic from her mamaji. To become the bread earner in the family, she takes up the task and plans to talk about SEX openly relates issues. Well, in the Indian context this three-letter word is a taboo and for a woman to run sex clinic its something over the board, but, Khandaani Shafakhana, hilariously deals with this sensitive issue.
The film is going to make you laugh and at the same time, think why we need to discuss sex-related issues in the open. It is something as natural as breathing, so why we make it a taboo. Well, leaving that aside, the film is a must-watch for those who are looking for some unconventional drama. It has Sonakshi Sinha who essays the role of Baby Bedi who inherits the sex clinic from her mamaji, Kulbhushan Kharbanda. The film also has Varun Sharma who is outstanding as the younger brother of Baby Bedi. Khandaani Shafakhana also marks the debut of singer-rapper Badhshah who essays the role of Gabru Ghatak. The film also has Annu Kapoor who is, as usual, excellent in his role. With all this ensemble cast, the film covers the sensitive matters related to sex. the film story starts in Hoshiyarpur, a small town in Punjab and how does a girl break the stereotypes related to this matter.
You should watch this film for Sonakshi Sinha who is outstanding, every expression of her is going to leave a mark in your heart. The comic timings by Varun Sharma are excellent, Annu Kapoor adds the necessary poise to the film making Khandaani Shafakhana a must-watch.
