Movie Review:John Abraham starrer, RAW: Romeo Akbar Walter has hit the silver screen today. The film was expected to do wonders, but the irony is that it is just a different angle to patriotic movies. Set in the era of 1971, RAW is a story of a banking professional who disguises as RW agent and with his chameleon skills is sent to Pakistan to fetch information.

If I have to sum in simple words, then RAW’s first half can build the interest of the audiences, but as the film proceeds, you would start losing the interest. It seems that more stress is given to shooting the film and creating the right angles rather than narrating the story.

Now lets come to the acting part, Jackie Shroff as Shrikant Rai has done complete justice to his role. Despite his impeccable acting, the film takes a dip. John Abraham as Romeo Akbar and Walter looks great, but at some point, it appears that he is not able to break the monotony that he has created for his role till now. Mouni Roy as Shraddha Sharma could have been used better. Her role has been restricted to being the love interest of John Abraham in the film. At some point, it appears that she is just a sideline actress with all the focus on  John Abraham.

Coming to the story, then it will take you in its grip, but poor narration will make you lose interest soon. The abrupt intermission and obvious second half fails to hold the interest of the audiences.

If you have been looking for a movie of the different league, then you can give RAW or Romeo Akbar Walter a try this weekend.
