Cast:Sushant Singh Rajput, Manoj Bajpayee, Bhumi Pednekar
Movie Review:After a long time we have a film from the ravines of Chambal depicts dacoit drama hitting the silver screen. Paan Singh Tomarand Bandit Queenare the two movies that hit my mind when I think about a dacoit film. Well, Abhishek Chaubey has strung an ensemble cast consisting of Sushant Singh Rajput, Ashutosh Rana, Ranveer Shorey, Bhumi Pendkar and Manoj Bajpayee. The film begins with national news declaring an emergency in the state and a dacoit group entering a village in Chambal. The gang is led by Man Singh (Dadda) , Manoj Bajpayee .
Well, the movie doesn’t have high-class drama with dacoits splurging in the pool of money, rather they are shown struggling to manage their own daily needs. In the film you will not find villains rather they are troubled souls who are trying to find their way out.
Coming to the acting part, Manoj Bajpayee steals the show with his intense acting, Sushant Singh Rajput is filled with anguished and rage. Bhumi Pendkar is the only female leading the charge in the pack of wolves. She is able to create her space in the male-dominated cast. She looks strong but with a sense of compassion.
We cannot miss Ashutosh Rana , who is menacing as hell. From his looks to diabolical mind, Ashutosh Rana is able to blend everything and add new flavour to the entire story. He is seen taking sides as per time and give Sonchiraiyathe much-needed flavour of police-dacoit drama.
The entire story sticks together and is well-fitted in the deserted ravines of Chambal. It gives you a glimpse of reality with a pinch of salt. The film is a good choice for those who are looking for some real dacoit life experience.
