Star Cast: Sharman Joshi, Aishwarya Devan

Kashi Movie Review: Kashi is the story of a brother who is searching for his sister who has gone missing. Sharman Joshi as Kashi is a corpse burner in Varanasi. One day he meets Devina (Aishwarya Devan) who is a journalist. She comes down to Varanasi in search of a story. Here she meets Kashi and slowly their friendship blossoms into love. Despite a good storyline and Sharman Joshi slipping in his character completely the film lacks charisma and is not able to catch the attention of the audiences. The only place which keeps you holding is the climax courtroom scene which adds the required spice to the film. The music of the film is average, Sharman Joshi is good but could have done better, debutant Aishwarya Devan is competent as a newcomer. Overall it’s a one-time watch.

Director – Namrata Singh Gujral

Star Cast- Rajkumar Rao, Nargis Fakhri

5 Weddings Movie Review: Before writing the review, I have a question, why did Rajkumar Rao do this film. After giving hits like Stree, seeing Rajkumar Rao in the film like 5 Weddings, I was a bit disappointed. Anyways, the story of the film is about a journalist Shaina (Nargis Fakhri) who comes down to India to do a cover story on Indian Weddings. Here she meets Harbajan Singh (Rajkumar Rao) who is chaperon to Shaina. Although Rajkumar Rao did justice to his role the banter between Rajkumar Rao and Fakhri doesn’t really seem to be working. Although Shaina is here for covering Indian weddings, Harbhajan feels that there is some journalist espionage behind the same and the story takes a new turn here. Having Rajkumar Rao didn’t help the film much and it could not hold the audience’s attention for long.
