Badhaai Ho crosses the mark of Rs. 50 crore at the box office

Its celebration time for Ayushmann Khurrana, his film Badhaai Ho has become a hit at the box office. The success of the film can not only be measured from the audience’s response but at the same time, it has shown growing numbers at the ticket counter.

Badhaai Ho is the story of a middle-class family living in Delhi who has to deal with the news about the pregnancy of the elderly couple, portrayed by Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao. The film is studded with the casts like Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao and Surekha Sikri. Despite the film being based on a sensitive theme, it has been presented to the audience in a humorous manner. It is because of this, Badhaai Ho has been able to strike a chord with the audiences and become a hit.

The film has reaped the benefit of the stretched festive weekend and has reached the mark of Rs 50 crore. It was released along with Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer Namaste England which is the sequel of Akshay Kumar starrer Namaste London. Despite big star cast, the film has failed at the box office which again proved beneficial for Badhaai Ho. Before this, Ayushmann Khurran starrer Andhadhun was also appreciated by the critics and the audiences alike. This is the second time he has given back to back hit.

The success of Badhaai ho shows the rise of content0driven films at the box office.
